I found very motivating this activity for students. The video is very funny and at times repeated pieces of the letter to assist in listening. The hidden words seem appropriate and easy to guess. Your blog entry seems very original and funny but I was surprised that non-English.
Dear Javier, I liked this activity, both because you provide the document with the lyrics online (googledocs) and two ways of listening to/watching the song ;) And the Beatles' songs are always a must in the English lessons, don't you think? The only drawback of this activity is that it's not interactive, but the good thing is that you can do it anywhere! Maybe including the key to the gaps would be interesting, Javier! Thank you very much for sharing this post and activity! Regards, María Victoria García
When I was a child I loved this song! I believe that this activity is very appropiate for Primary students not only because the video was done with cartoons but also because you have choosen the missing words very good: man, sea, sun, different colours... all of them are concepts in Primary school.
In my opinion, I think that the missing words in the last stanza are very close. Don’t you think? Maybe the students will have difficulties to fill those three gaps.
I love the creative concept behind the Yellow Submarine! It’s a great example of how imaginative ideas can transform into something truly unique.
